Dungannon’s Annual Little Country Fair is coming up fast! Kick off the fair weekend on Friday, August 10 with a mini modified tractor pull! With more than 150 hookups, souped up lawn mowers and four wheelers, you will be guaranteed to have a great time! Starting at 7, the Stoneboat Pullers are bringing an awesome show to the Dungannon Super Pull Track! As well on Friday night, there will be wings and beer being sold in the hall from 6-10.
On Saturday, August 11, there will be a Dungannon Amazing Race around the village! Registration is at 6 and the race starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be prizes for 1st place! Ending off the night, the Dungannon Youth Group will be hosting an outdoor movie night in the pavilion starting at 9 p.m. Snacks will be available for sale and the movie being played is The Lion King.
On Sunday, the main events of the fair begin! The Western Horse Show begins at 9 am, and runs all day. At 10:30 am, the Lucknow 4-H beef show begins, and the kids bicycle parade begins at 11. Anyone wishing to participate in the parade can meet at the hall at 10:30 to decorate their bikes. At 11:30, the frog jumping contest begins; (please bring your own frogs). At 12:00, Snippity the Clown starts her face painting and balloon animals in the pavilion, followed by a magic show at 1:30. From 11 until 2, there will be carnival games for kids. At 12:30, the baby show is held in the hall. Registration starts at noon, and there will be prizes for everyone, door prizes, a raffle, and games! At 1, there will be youth games for ages 10+! At 2, the famous kids pedal pull starts for kids up to 85lbs! Be in the pavilion to watch the races! Following the pedal pull, the future prince and princess of Dungannon will be chosen! At 3:30, there is a log sawing contest, and anyone can enter! All day Sunday there is a classic car and large truck display happening, so be sure to check them out! As well, there is a petting zoo with plenty of animals to entertain you! New this year is Touch The Tractor! There will be tractors, combines, and other farm machinery displayed so that everyone can go see and experience them! Be sure to grab lunch at the Dungannon Lions food booth, who will be there all day serving up their famous burgers and fries! Finally, the Dungannon United Church is hosting their pork chop dinner in the hall from 4 to 6 pm!
